ONLY TWO MORE DAYS to help support the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s BackPack Program
This program provides hungry school children with snacks and meals to take home in their backpacks so that they have food to eat over the weekend.
How to help?
- Food donationsNeed to be items that kids can open and/or prepare themselves
Granola bars, Fruit leather, Single serving boxes or pouches of 100% fruit juice, Single serving bags of trail mix, Single serving microwavable meals with easy to open lids. Have your student bring in and put in their classroom collection box.
- Grocery store gift cards for Food City, Bashas or AJ’s
These stores are all part of the same company and they offer a substantial discount to the Food Bank~ Please, drop off to Kathy Anders in the front office.
- Cash (check or online) donations to purchase single servings of shelf-stable milk
Milk has to be purchased from the Food Bank’s supplier by the pallet. One pallet costs $5000. Please donate in increments of $10 and make checks payable to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona with BackPack in the memo line and drop them off to Kathy Anders in the front office.
These donations qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, a dollar for dollar tax credit of up to $400 for couples filing jointly or $200 for single filers
