Welcome to the first
day of school!
Our school
days start promptly at 8 a.m. Please be on time so that your child's days
get off to a wonderful start.
Here are
some tips for a successful first week:
•
Have
your student make sure his/her backpack is ready to go and by the door every
night before bed.
•
Have
your student decide on that perfect outfit, breakfast, and lunch the night
before so on the first few mornings of school you aren't tripped up with making
too many decisions that take the focus off leaving for school or the bus on
time.
•
If
your child takes the bus, encourage him/her to ride it to school on the first
days and get to the bus stop five minutes before the scheduled pick up time.
Our parking lot is busy and getting back to bus routines will help
alleviate unnecessary traffic woes.
On that
note...Parking Lot Etiquette:
•
Please
be patient because safety for our students is our first priority.
•
Please
pay attention to administrators, staff and parent volunteers as they help
support the safe flow of traffic.
Last year
we were able to get all students in and out in 15 minutes with everyone
following these rules. With a little knowledge and planning and a lot of
patience and kindness, we can all get through these short moments each day with
a smile on our face knowing that everyone wants to do their best to support
students exiting and entering Manzanita safely.
We are
excited about the beginning of the 2015/16 school year! Let's make it a
