Thanks to everyone for participating in our
‘Under The Sea’ spring book fair last week! And HUGE THANK YOUS to all who
helped make it happen! The kids really enjoyed sharing their wonderfully
creative ‘fish’ and, hopefully, they found some great new stories to start their
summer reading libraries.
As the finish line is fast
approaching, we hope you have marked your calendars and are able to join us for
the following family-fun events to round out another wonderful and productive year
at Manzanita:
- Our fabulous Mrs. Nixon has been working all year long with her inspiring junior artists (aka the students) and the art show committee to put together another fabulous Art Show Week for all Manzanita families! The MPR will be transformed into a beautiful art gallery open to everyone (at no cost) May 4th-8th. Family Night will be held Tuesday, May 5th, from 4-6. I promise you do NOT want to miss it; EVERY child will have at least one piece of awesome artwork displayed. It’s one of the most heart warming school-wide events of the year!!! - Mark your calendars for the Variety Show, a family-fun Friday night of great entertainment at Catalina Foothills High School on May 8th at 6pm. Please contact Teri Meeks at meeksconst@aol.com with any questions. Break a leg, Mustang Super Stars!
- And, finally, for our big kids on campus...sniff, sniff... the 5th Grade Promotion ceremony will be held on the last day of school, Wednesday, 5/20 at 9 a.m. on the lower field. Don’t forget your cameras (and tissues,) 5th Grade Families!
