Science Fair
Recently, fifth grade students shared their
science projects with family and friends.
Students investigated a variety of fascinating topics. Their projects
were the culmination of an immense amount of work, representing each step of
the scientific inquiry process. Twenty
5th grade projects were selected to go to SARSEF,
the Southern Arizona Regional Science Education Foundation and they are:
Bailey
Axen, Miranda Barwick and Claire Hartigan, Brianna Brinkley, Ian Britanik,
Jack Clements,
Emmeline Close, Nathaniel Cross, Elsie Gardner, Mac Glaesser, Simone Gelety, Naomi
Holtzman, Zekai Jacobson, Nathan Kuo, Melina Leonard, Elliot Liu, Arlo Meade, Natasha
Myer, Maggie Proebsting, Aidan Squire, and Noah Wellman.
Elementary
winners will be announced, and awards presented on Thursday, March 12 at 6:30 PM
at the Tucson Convention Center. Congratulations to these students, and to all
of our fifth grade learners for
their efforts.
Spring Conferences
On Friday March 13,
a half-day of school is scheduled in order to accommodate spring conferences.
Due to the fact that it is only a half-day, teachers generally plan on holding
conferences with some of their families.
Classrooms devise their own plans, some utilizing this time to share
portfolios or feature a special student performance. You should expect to hear
from your child’s teacher regarding his/her specific plans.
Thanks
for your interest in and continued support of your child’s education.
