I recently came across this helpful resource that I wanted to share. It's taken from Jane Nelsen's "Positive Discipline" material and is titled the "Mistaken Goals" chart.
Essentially, it helps break down troubling behaviors in order to decode what the child's real motive or need is, and matches it to a proactive & empowering adult response. Just some food for thought, enjoy!
