Dear Parents,

In preparation for heavy rains tomorrow, we want to communicate our plans for the day always keeping safety at the forefront for our students.

Dr. Kamerzell has decided CFSD will not cancel school or shorten the school day, because it can actually be a dangerous practice "when we cannot be assured that all parents have been alerted, can make alternative plans for their children, and students are then being dropped off at bus stops and/or heading into houses where no parents/adults are present."

Should we have to shelter in place for a time being, we will make sure students are safe, comfortable and kept busy until parents can come to pick them up.

Drop-off in the AM will remain the same. Please do be patient and plan on taking more time for drop-off in the morning as it will definitely be raining. All students should be dressed appropriately for very wet weather.

WEDNESDAY IS EARLY RELEASE at 1:30 PM.

It will be raining heavily at pick-up time.  We will hold kids in the hallways and radio for them as cars pull all the way forward. Again, this will take more time than usual. Please come prepared to wait patiently. We will do our best to locate your student quickly and safely.

Please pull all the way forward to wait for your child once we have determined which student you are picking up.

Please be very clear with your student what their after school plans are for this EARLY RELEASE WEDNESDAY day (parent pick-up/bus/care/CS classes).

We expect that the buses will be running as usual, but with this weather please be aware that there may be delays.

We will use E-blasts and the MZ MESSENGER BLOG at mzmessenger.blogspot.com - please subscribe now for updates!

Our number one concern is always the safety and well-being of our students.

As always, thank you for patience, flexibility and support.
